ABOUT US

LivingCloser Retreats is a collective of trauma-informed, mental health professionals also trained in spiritual inner healing.

We believe that God can truly heal every part of your story. The name LivingCloser came in a vision. The subsequent contemplation was around how every restoration towards healing is about LivingCloser. We return to LivingCloser to unconditional love and to our true selves. While trauma is an experience that knocks us outside of our identity and embeds false beliefs about ourselves, God, and others, an effective healing path draws is closer to living connected to the physical and spiritual world around us and reconciles us to the goodness of our original design and calling. We reclaim an abiding peace and bring it with us back into our bodies.

Our Vision

We know that the tragedy of trauma is that it becomes an echo chamber of disconnect, self-loathing, and chaos. That internal chaos becomes a projected reality that reinforces feelings of threat and fear in a disquieted mind. LivingCloser, like a labyrinth practice, is a tangible metaphor of healing. By creating a safe place, a safe setting, we invite you to return to your body and reestablish that internal safe place.

Our Mission

A LivingCloser Intensive is a unique experience that allows for healing in a matter of days and can empower you to move forward with your life more quickly. Be encouraged to take a sacred pause from life to focus on your healing. Upon beginning an intensive, you will learn the necessary skills and develop the resources that you will need in order to safely tolerate trauma reprocessing.

Our Team

Owner and Retreat Facilitator, Corina Kojack, is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor credentialed with the International Board of Christian Counselors and ordained through The River Revival Network. She started working as a lay minister in the areas of addiction and sexual and relational brokenness in 2002. She received a Masters in Counseling from Regent University in 2004 and worked as a professional counselor from 2005-2023.

Our Process

Our process is one of simplicity. We create an understimulating contrast to the noise of everyday life. Meals are ordered before the retreat and on-hand. The natural back drop is one of serenity of a more rural pace - the subtle joy of the sunrise over the fields, birdsong throughout the day, the joy of fireflies in the trees at night surrounded by stars. From there, we use prayer and muscle testing to find congested trauma - implicit or remembered.
